Black point is a remote geological peninsular located in D’Entrecasteaux National Park. So very different from the rest of the world.

An exhilarating off the beaten track 4 wheel drive journey will lead you to towering basalt columns pounded by the powerful southern ocean. Sheer limestone cliffs, caves that overlook sapphire colored bays and lagoons and a pristine ecosystem that’s seen nowhere else in the world. The hexagonal basalt columns and black cobble like formations created by a 135 million year old lava flow are considered one of the most spectacular vistas on the south coast

His skills as a botanist, a photographer, an apiarist, and his extensive general knowledge of the geology, culture and history of the region is unsurpassable . We had a relaxing and informative day exploring the land south of Margaret River down to Cape Leeuwin , and along the way made a new friend. Thank you Hank!!!

					  Fabulous day trip with Hank!  - My mum and I had a fantastic day exploring the Margaret River area with Hank, it was a huge highlight of our trip to WA and I would highly recommend!... read more We covered so much in one day, with spectacular views of the coast, amazing forest scenery, coffee & scones in a lovely cafe amongst the trees, a fabulous lunch at one of the local wineries, and some ‘off the beaten track’ viewpoints that only a local would know about! Hank is a wealth of local knowledge, with plenty of tips for your time in Margaret River. I’m already thinking about returning during wildflower season. Thanks for a great day Hank!

					  Hank is a great and knowledgeable guide!  - Hank was a great, knowledgeable, and friendly guide for our time with him. The first day it was just my wife and I, and we walked through a forested area... read more fairly close to the main (paved) road.  The wildflowers were amazing, per him, this was the wettest and longest winter (into spring) in 20 years. He also explained the ecosystems of the forest, identified some trees that were over 400 years old.  The second day, we had one other solo traveler with us, and we explored some coastal areas as well as some other areas with different flowers and orchids.  Hank also took some candid photos of us along with a few posed ones.
